For someone who has been photographing Zagreb for around 15 years, I’m a bit ashamed that I haven’t visited Hrelić before. I had a chance to take a short walk around there on a sunny Sunday, so I took my small Fuji X100V and captured a couple of interesting photos.
Hrelić is the largest flea market in Croatia and one of the most popular open-air markets in Zagreb. It is truly a cultural landmark worth visiting. Whatever you’re searching for, I bet you can find it there, including clothing, footwear, auto parts, tools, children’s toys, old cameras, vinyl records, military equipment, collectibles, art, and antiques etc. From originals to fakes, everything is there.
In addition to shopping, Hrelić is known for its gastronomic offerings. Visitors can enjoy ćevapi, burgers, freshly roasted pork and lamb, and other delicious and affordable specialties.
