Why I Enjoyed Split: History, Architecture and Traditional Atmosphere

While I’m preparing for my next adventure of exploring Croatia, I would like to show you a couple of photos I took in Split during my last trip.

Having visited Split twice before without the chance to truly explore and take photos, this trip was particularly special. It felt incredibly satisfying to finally wander through the town, camera in hand, capturing the essence of Split.

Visiting in early May, the town was alive with tourists, and I felt like one of them, eager to see everything the old part of the town had to offer. The blend of ancient history and vibrant urban life is something I always search for, and I found myself completely enjoying the experience.

Exploring the historic heart of Split was a highlight, and I made sure to visit every significant site. I bought tickets for all the major attractions, including the iconic tower of the Split Cathedral and the intriguing Diocletian’s Palace Basement Halls. Each location offered unique photographic opportunities and deeper insights into the city’s rich history.

By the end of my visit, I was thrilled to have seen everything I wanted and captured countless memories through my lens. Split is undoubtedly a must-visit destination, and I can’t wait to return for more exploration and photography.

Let me share a couple of photos from that visit to Split. You can find more photos on the Croatia Captured website.
